2006


Organized Ten Men, One Cause, an evening to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the 1981 Irish Hunger Strikes. Event was hosted in the first gallery to feature an all Palestinian modern art exhibition in the U.S. The film “H3” was screened, and Irish artists displayed work in solidarity alongside Palestinian artists. Irish singer Mary Courtney played traditional songs of the Irish Resistance.

2005

Co-facilitated Arab Youth Mural project, a workshop which lead Arab school aged boys and girls through the process of conceptualizing and completing a mural focused on their community and culture. The mural theme: “How are we seen, and how do we want to be seen as Arabs in the U.S.”.

2004
Organized The Festival of Cultural Resistance, a festival celebrating the art of resistance and highlighting the richness of Arab culture in contrast to western media portrayals of said culture. Arab artists as well as artist in solidarity with the Arab people were featured. Weekend included music, dance, poetry, films and art exhibition
